Step inside the Rematch time machine and travel back to 1974 Kinshasa, Africa for a theatrical retelling of Muhammad Ali vs George Foreman’s infamous championship bout.
Immerse yourself in the sights, sounds, and flavours of the time. Let us take you back in time to experience the legendary forgotten Zaire 74 festival. You’ll soon be grooving to a soul-stirring blend of African, North American, and Latin melodies from the likes of James Brown, Sister Sledge, Celia Cruz, and Miriam Makeba live!
You’ll live and breathe the electrifying lead up to the championship fight. Witness the press conferences and gruelling training whilst meeting the locals and peaking behind the curtain of the locker room preparations for one of the greatest sporting moments in history.
Once you’ve built up the hype, it’s showtime. Take your seats by the ring for the ultimate showdown between two boxing legends. Experience the heart-pounding intensity of this historic battle as it’s brought to life through precision performance and breath-taking physical theatre.

Chapter 1: Time Travel
Step inside the Rematch time portal and into 1974 Zaire where border security have been told to expect your arrival in Kinshasa.
Chapter 2: Kinshasa, Zaire and the Fight
Explore Kinshasa, Zaire 1974; gather for the fighters’ press conference, visit the boxers’ training camps and immerse yourself in the build up to this historical moment.
Chapter 3: The Festival
To keep the fight hype high a festival was staged celebrating the best from American, African and Latin music – a live band awaits you to celebrate this forgotten festival.
Chapter 4: The Interval
A break from the fever inside the Stade du 20 Mai; have a drink and grab yourself some of the Congolese street food from the market or some American classics from the Intercontinental Hotel.
Chapter 5: The Fight
The big, bad, indestructible George Foreman v the once-great, now-underdog Muhammad Ali. Precision choreography, physical theatre, video projections and original music will immerse the audience in this iconic, dramatic and timeless bout.
Chapter 6: Back to 2023
The party’s far from over! Songs from the biggest global acts in black music will finish up your stay in Africa and accompany you on your return journey to 2023.

Who is Rumble in the Jungle Rematch for?
At Rumble in the Jungle Rematch, there’s something for everybody to enjoy; whether you’re a sports fan, immersive theatre enthusiast, festival aficionado, food lover or somebody just looking for a new exciting experience.
Where is it?
Dock-X, Surrey Quays Road, London. SE16 2XU.
We’re a 3 minute walk from Canda Water tube station.
Do I have to hand in my phone?
No – whilst we encourage you to be in the moment, you do not have to hand in your phone.
Do I have to dress up?
No you don’t. But we recommend getting in on the fun and wearing your classiest 1970s inspired outfit to enhance your time travel experience. We’ll send you more details ahead of your booking.
Please be mindful when choosing your outfit not to appropriate a culture that isn’t your own.
Is this a seated event?
You will make your own way around the experience and can choose to take a seat at any time. There is a seated part of the show, where there are wheelchair specific spaces available.
How long is the experience?
The whole experience lasts approximately 3 and a half hours from the first entry time (210 minutes). For evening performances, the show will end around 22:15. For matinees, the show will end around 16:30.
How much are tickets?
Tickets start from £29.50.
Our General Admission tickets are sold by tiers. The earlier you book, the less you pay! When they’re gone, they’re gone.
